These awesome Giant-Size Comics were first released in the summer of 1974 and are coveted by Comics’ Collector’s today!
I am the original owner...these are all bought by me off the newsstands when they were released!
1 – Mar. 1975 – FN/VF! “Encounter At Land's End!” by Roy Thomas, John Buscema, Joe Sinnott, Janice Cohen & Artie Simek opens with Dr. Doom floating atop the Atlantic Ocean after falling from space! Sub-Mariner rescues Dr. Doom from the ocean and tries to convince him to become his ally and help him free the citizens of Atlantis, now in suspended animation, as Doom remembers a past meeting (Sub-Mariner 20 is r/p)! Then Marvel Super-Heroes 20 is r/p starring Doom! Part 3: “This Man...This Demon!” sees Diablo hold Valeria hostage and tries to force Dr. Doom into becoming his partner…much to his regret! by Larry Lieber, Roy Thomas, Frank Giacoia & Vince Colletta
2 – June 1975 – FN! “To Bestride the World!” is a 32 page romp by Roy Thomas, Mike Sekowsky, Sam Grainger & Phil Rachelson, as Dr. Doom brings Sub-Mariner to Latveria to propose an alliance between the two (after launching an attack against Atlantis to prove Namor needs him)! While at Doom's castle an army of androids attack, led by Andro, even as Doom is creating an army of artificial men! “The Living Brain!” by Stan Lee, Steve Ditko & Artie Simek r/p Amazing Spider-Man #8 (Jan. 1964)
