With or without contrast collar and cuffs, Views A and B pinafore: two inches above mid-calf length, with skirt hand-smocked into front and back yokes, has front and back square neckline, cutaway armholes, back-buttoned closing and self hemline ruffle. Self bias ruffle and binding to finish armhole or short bell-shaped sleeves gathered at cap. Topstitching. View C pinafore: 4-1/2 inches above ankle length, with front and back hand-smocked to bodice stay, has round neckline with self binding, square armholes gathered into self bias binding at underarm, and back self tie closing.
