Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is an exceptionally clean and clear sounding pair of 1940's Spade Cooley Orchestra western swing arrangements.
Side H 1159 presents "I Guess I've Been Dreaming Again", an instrumental accompaniment with "Tex" Williams vocal.
Side HCO 1820 features, "Steel Guitar Rag", a real toe tapper! Light surface wear and faint scratches are to be expected but no skips are caused. Mostly clean with no breaks or chips, though a 1-inch hairline crack is beginning to show but causes no interference with the play.
