Seller's Description

"The wizard of the keyboard," Frankie Carle was one of the most prolific pianists of the 1940's and 1950's.

Starting in 1916, he worked with a number of mainstream dance orchestras. He became a featured performer (and later partner) in the Horace Heidt orchestra, leaving in 1944 to form his own band. His daughter, billed as Marjorie Hughes, was the lead singer. Carle had several million-sellers in the late 1940's and early 1950's, including his theme song, "Sunrise Serenade" .

Besides the label impairment, this record shows moderate scuff and scratch marks. No chips, skips or cracks. Mostly clear plays with light background noise. We grade at VG+.

Side CO 27525 features "Twelfth Street Rag" with rhythm accompaniment. Side CO 27523 gives you, "Sweet Lorraine", also with rhythm accompaniment.
