Seller's Description
1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.
Offered here is a 1919 10 inch, pair of male trio vocals. Record #A2698. Grades at VG+, with a few more scratches than we like to see, mostly on the B side. Otherwise, we'd grade it excellent. No chips, skips or cracks.
Side 78265 presents the Sterling Trio with, "That Tumble Down Shack In Athlone", with orchestra.
Side 78266 offers, "You're Still An Old Sweetheart Of Mine", again with the Sterling Trio and orchestra.
