An early to mid-1940s Columbia recording from Horace Heidt and His Musical Knights.
From 1937 until 1945, Horace Heidt and his orchestra enjoyed more than 50 hit records, and were virtually permanent fixtures on the radio. This is a mostly clean and fair sounding pair of Big Band fox trot rhythms. Well played, and showing numerous scuff and scratch marks. Expect some background noise, but this platter has no cracks or skips and still shows a decent gloss!
Side HCO 581 features "I'll Never Forget", with vocal chorus, and side CCO 4005 shows, "Carle Meets Mozart", featuring Frankie Carle, the "wizard of the keyboard".
