Seller's Description
From True Magazine (determined from the advertising) and most likely a late 1940's recounting of one of the greatest errors committed by the Allies, told by Lt. Col. Jack Widmer.
Multiple pages (complete) with two shown for reference, which have been preserved in glycene sheets. Orders had prevented Patton from closing in on the Germans trapped in the Falaise pocket. Who was responsible? And, did this needlessly lengthen the war?
Widmer's account is compelling and he writes from stenographic notes from Patton's remarks and copies of his operational maps.
