This comic book was released by ACE Comics in October 1986 and this character has a very cool history, which is told on several pages! He started as a Fleisher Cartoon, famous for the 1940's Superman cartoons and was a popular coic book character in the 1950's!
"The Genesis of Spencer Spook" tells the history by Jerry De Fuccio and Pencils by Jane S. Jennaro!
Next up is "The Comic Capercon!" a 14 pages romp through the Marvel and DC Universe by Joe Gill and Pat Boyette with characters Spencer Spook; Mike Angelo; Stupor-Man; Ratman; Bugman; Incredible Bulk; Clint Eastwood (cameo); Three Stooges (cameo); Don Thompson (cameo); Maggie Thompson (cameo), as Spencer's cartoonist Mike Angelo goes to the New York Comicon, where he is recruited by both "CD" and "Marble" comics editors, where he meets Caricatures of Jim Shooter and other Marvel and DC personnel, along with parodies of various DC and Marvel characters!!
"Spencer Spook" is a 7 pages story by Lynn Karp, as Two ghosts are upset when Spencer is chosen to haunt a castle, by "The Boss", so they decide to haunt Spencer!! This Reprints Giggle Comics (American Comics Group, 1943 series) #77 (May-June 1951)!!
Finally, Spencer Spook stars in a 6 pager by Richard Hughes, Irv Spector and Owen Fitzgerald as Spencer tries to get into a theatre to see a 3-D spook movie!!
