These awesome Giant-Size Comics were first released in the summer of 1974 and are coveted by Comics’ Collector’s today! I am the original owner...these are all bought by me off the newsstands when they were released! I’ll be listing many sets of these in the coming weeks!
1 – Dec. 1975 – NM- This issue r/p Hero for Hire #14-#16! “Retribution!" by Steve Englehart & Billy Graham sees two Seagate Prisoners break out and join a disgraced Jail Guard, where they to expose Cage as a criminal and they decide the best way to trap Luke is to kidnap his girlfriend Claire Temple! The Jail Guard murders his lackey, as Claire picks up the murder weapon just as the police enter the room, demanding she put the weapon down! She’s arrested and Luke promises to find the real killer and clear Claire's name! The killer hires a costumed man named Stiletto to take out Cage! While Cage is busy battling Stiletto on the property, Jail Guard is struck and killed by an arriving ambulance. Cage is stunned by Stiletto long enough for the attacker to escape, and the police arrive with Big Ben Donovan. Donovan, a lawyer, gets a confession clearing Claire's name! There’s also a Pin-Up of Luke Cage by Gil Kane!
