Original circa 1914 12 1/8 inch x 9 1/2 inch Photogravure Engraving titled A COMING SHOWER
Two Victorian ladies standing beside a boat on the beach, one of them holding an umbrella, while a man with a child is talking to, possibly, the captain who is holding on to his hat in the high wind.
From the painting by Pierre Outin (1840 - 1899). Born at Moulins on the banks of the Allier river in Central France, Pierre Outin studied under Charles Lecointe and Alexander Chabanel in Paris and developed a proficiency in both style and technique.
