A jury of top designers, chosen for their varied field of expertise, judges work in 55 categories. Once the finest work has been selected to appear in the show and book, the jury selects the awards which are the highest honors bestowed on the editorial designer. More than 5,500 entries were submitted to this 22 annual competition. A panel of 7 notable jurors selected approximately 480 pieces which were exhibited at the Art Directors Cub of New York, in October of 1987 and have been reproduced in this volume.
