Seller's Description
Toned from age and torn and creased on both the left and right margins. Also has been folded vertically and horizontally. Mailed to Mr. Joseph P. Knapp, 808 Philadelphia St., Covington, KY. and reads:
"Dear Sir: I am in receipt of yours of recent date with stamps for exchange. Beg to advise you that I do not wish common stamps such as those you sent, as I already have quantities but only those at 3 cents to 50 cents each, in lots of 300-1000 at a time or rare on sheets. First exchanges are seldom satisfactory to either party as neither knows the others wants. However I am sending a small lot which I trust will suit you." Signed Very Sincerely, P.V. Hiordan.
