This interesting issue contains excerpts from a sermon by Bishop Clemens August von Galen in which he protests the closure of Catholic institutions and the lawlessness perpetrated by the Gestapo. It was Galen’s fearless sermons delivered from July to August 1941 that earned him the nickname ‘Lion of Münster. 

With a note to French civilians printed in red: “Français! Ceci est destiné aux soldats allemands! Faites en sorte qu’ils le reçoivent!”.
