This item: A stapled 12 sheet document on this cult classic comprising a Contact List for productuion Office and personnel working on the movie; Location Information of areas and places and sites used with relevant people to see regarding them - this includes a handwritten (photocopied) series of places; a more detailed section of key locations with typed notes including for Burrow Head: 'The site for the Wicker Man is on the dangerous edge of the cliffs - it will be necessary to erect.....' This copy also has some actual biro writing to one page along with a scribbled design; there is also a copy of a Meteorological Office letter dated 22 September 1972, regarding the climate of the locations in late Autumn / Winter. Some information is cut off to left margin of 2 pages (rushed photocopying?). An invaluable item of information. This is a photocopy, as I understand that various photocopies were made from the typed original - this was a cost saving exercise for the production and now very few of these still exist. Rare

Question From lipwak [0] Fri 29 Mar 2024 12:35:49 (BST) Hi Richard,
I am very interested in many of the items you are selling on ebid. I cannot afford the prices you are asking though so if I can, I will submit low-ball offers and hope that you just want to get rid of these things or want to help me with my research of the film, The Wicker Man. I was in touch in Allan Brown a few years ago and he had promised he would share whatever he had with me since I was researching the film. His MS got worse though and I have lost track of him. Do you know how he is? If it is possible to have these items, I'd pay postage and you'd have my eternal gratitude and fans would know so much more about the film as there are some real gems in there. I'd be happy to correspond via e-mail if you like. ...Many thanks. Cheers.
Here is a link to the wiki I have written up about the film: ...

Answer From Maxgol [+506] Fri 29 Mar 2024 17:38:01 (BST) Hi: All items are priced, as seen. I never get the price seen as I have eBid and Paypal fees to pay. I don't, as such 'want to get rid' of my collection; as mentioned in my About Me section, many items were expensive to buy and included me having bank loans to purchase them. Regarding Allan Brown I dealt with him well over a decade ago and found him difficult to deal with and so do not have any contact information for him. Sorry not to be of more help.

Question From lipwak [0] Fri 29 Mar 2024 18:54:40 (BST) Thanks! I do appreciate all this. I have been promoting the various sets to friends and fans on Facebook so I hope that brings more attention to them and hopefully you can sell them.
Most interesting to me are the location info sheets. Those were written up by Jake Wright, the assistant director and are quoted in Brown's book. Great to see these. Very curious about any handwritten notes too but I guess I won't ever know more about any of it. Oh well. I do wish you luck selling them. (Maybe who buys them will share them with fans.)
Cheers.
John
