Vintage / Collectible, Black, Cast Iron Balance Scales - Kitchen

You are looking at a set of vintage, cast iron balance scales. Was found in the shed during a clear out and now needs a new home. Not sure of the overall age, they were given to my dad over 40 years ago and they were not new then. Compared to similar scales online, I would guess they were first created in the 1930's - 1940's.

Apart from a few surface rust spots, the overall physical condition is excellent, especially when considering the potential age, please see the advert pictures. Please note however that the bowl that would hold things to be weighted and the bowl / platform used for the weights does not come with these scales as despite a long search, I have no idea where they are or what happened to them. Please also note that no weights come with these scales.
