Vintage, 0.5L Stein/Mug, Grey & Blue, Stoneware, Glazed, "In freud leid trink allezeit", German

You are looking at a vintage, 0.5L, German glazed, stoneware stein. Grey and blue in colour. The stein has a a relief picture which has a shield type shape opposite the handle with traditional German figures either side. The overall result is simply very beautiful as steins go.

In excellent condition as per the pictures. There is a hole in the top of the handle but I believe that is so a lid could be added.

Capacity:- 0.5L 

Colour:- Blue and Grey

Engraved into the shield type shape on the side of the stein are the words "In freud leid trink allezeit" which as far as I can tell translates to "In Joy and Sorrow, a Drink is What You Need". 

On the base of the stein is engraved "1302" and at the top of the stein near the handle, "0.5L" is engraved.
