It’s got castles and great scenery in the vicinity, amazing dining, night clubs, museums, art galleries, theatres, canal walks, mines to visit, is great for sports e.g. rugby, golf, football (one the oldest professional football teams in the world – not referring to the average age of the players!) etc, and even has its own Glyndwr University, named after one of the most famous hero’s in Wales. This booklet tells you about what was topical to visit back in 2009, but much of the places mentioned will be worth checking out today.
