Simplicity sewing pattern S9880, for Misses' corsets and sash.
Difficulty Rating: Average.
Lined and boned corsets have back corded loops for lacing with dipped front hem that skims over the hip line and rises at the back. Design options include wide upper cuff, purchased lace appliqués, novelty fringed trim and front button trims. Sash with front cummerbund styling and wide tie ends has front lining from net for structure and volume. See Simplicity S9881 for matching skirts.
Suggested Fabrics: Brocade, Jacquards, Satin, Silks and Silk Types, Taffeta, Velvet. Lining A,B,C,D: Lining Fabric. Lining E: Net. Interfacing: Lightweight Fusible.
