Original French 11 inch x 15 1/4 inch page with printed photograph titled LE VETERAN SERBE
The Serbian veteran who defeated the Turks at Kumanovo in 1912, helped the Bulgarians to take Adrianople, triumphed over the Bregalinitza in 1913 of these same Bulgarians who were traitors to the Balkan alliance, won the victories of Iadar and Roudnik over the Austrians in 1914, and which now faces Germany, Austria-Hungary and Bulgaria.
Photograph by Samson Chernov (1882 - 1929). A Russian cameraman who worked for the French film company Gaumont and became famous for his photographs of the Russo-Japanese War.
