Original U.S. 22 inch by 28 inch Half-Sheet poster for the 1976 Richard Lester Adventure ROBIN AND MARIAN starring Sean Connery, Audrey Hepburn, Robert Shaw, Richard Harris, Nicol Williamson, Denholm Elliott, Kenneth Haigh, Ronnie Barker, Ian Holm, Bill Maynard, Esmond Knight and Peter Butterworth.
Connery is splendid as Robin and Hepburn as Marian bring a rare blast of feeling to Sherwood Forest in this impressive, elegaic re-interpretation of the old tale. A grizzled, middle-aged Robin returns from the Crusades to find that Marian is now abbess of the local priory while King John (Holm) and the Sheriff of Nottingham (Shaw) have evil plans afoot.
Poster art by Drew Struzan. Struzan is an American artist, illustrator, and cover designer known for his more than 150 movie posters. He was born in Oregon in 1947 and in 1965 studied at the Art Centre College of Design, then in West Los Angeles, California.
The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition.
