Rare Brookite in Quartz: Large Double-sided Tablet Gem; Flashing Needles; 35+cts

Rare brookite needles in crystal-clear quartz, this impressively large, double-sided tablet gemstone shows off the highly collectable inclusions to best effect. The both main faces are flat, not domed, and the edges are beveled. There are some tiny fleabite undercuts (to be expected in such material) where some needles reach the surface. The needles disappear or look dark gray and/or brown, but flash silver (and in strong lighting, sparks of other colors) as you turn the gem. Very collectible piece from a single, limited find, and a fascinating, bold example for a collection, or as a rare centerpiece to an utterly unusual jewel design.
