This item:  A PRIME COLLECTABLE An original release set of 8 UK FOH cards for this first Hammer Quatermass movie based on the Nigel Kneale TV series. This is highly likley to be a unique set, as it is signed by 3 important names associated with the movie: 1. Producer of the movie, the late Anthony Hinds (1922 - 2013); Director of the movie, the late Val Guest (1911 - 2006) and the writer and Quatermass creator, the late Nigel Kneale (1922 - 2006). All signatures were obtained by myself with personal meetings with all the signtories. Of especial interest is the signature of writer Nigel Kneale, whom I met in Manchester for a Quatermass showing of the movie Quatermass and the Pit. He is famous, of course, for thoroughly disliking Brian Donlevy playing his very English scientist character, though Val Guest knew for movie purposes that Donlevy would offer more screen impact. Mr Kneale, as I spoke to him, refused to sign anything with Donlevy on it (as was his known custom) and as we spoke for quite some time I kept offering a variety of materials to sign as he spoke to me and slipped in a couple of vintage FOH cards which he did sign as he talked not noticing what the image was. An original FOH card signed by three important figures relating to the movie is undoubtedy rare and having Nigel Kneale sign a Donlevy image super rare and likely unique. In any event an astonishing set for the collector.   Rare / Unique

Size:           8.00 x 10.00 inches approx. 

Condition: (Range from Fine – Very Good – Good – Poor with ++ to - - for further differentiation) :  Very Good ++-:   no pin-holes;  very good corners and edges with some light wear; green tint - as issued; overall very good.

POST & PACKAGING: all items are securely packaged, for as a collector myself I appreciated the need for secure packaging and all materials used are new.
