Original Polish 22 3/4 inch x 32 1/4 inch Poster for the 1978 Dan Pita & Mircea Veroiu Romanian Western Comedy THE PROPHET, THE GOLD & THE TRANSYLVANIANS (PROFETUL, AURUL SI ARDELENII) starring Ilarion Ciobanu, Ovidiu Luliu Moldovan, Mircea Diaconu, Victor Rebengiuc and Vasile Nitulescu.

Two peasants from Transylvania go to America in order to meet their brother who had left Romania ten years earlier. They meet a prophet in the American state of Utah and eventually help the cause of justice in the villages where the prophet proves to be a dictator and exploiter of the coal miners over there.

Poster art by Mieczyslaw Wasilewski. Born in 1942 Wasilewski is a Polish graphic designer. He Studied at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. He taught graphic design at the University of Damascus 1981 - 1982. He has a professorship at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts in the Department of Graphic Arts.

The poster is very good unfolded (rolled) condition.
