Here's a very nice Philips personal CD player, this one is a model AX 5002. It comes with all of the features that you'll need to replay your CD Discs.
The majority of the main controls are positioned on the players lid and these are play/pause, stop, next track/forward search, last track/reverse search.
Add to these a handy programme button that allows the tracks to be replayed in your preferred order. A replay mode button sets playback in a random order etc.
Philips also added their useful Bass button. When this is pressed the low frequency element of the audio is reinforced. In addition there is also their ESP circuit. This an Electronic shock protection circuit. Whenturned on it will assist the player to replay Discs without skipping when moved. This features a 45 second buffer, and is very effective in operation. The feature can be turned off and this will increase the life of any Batteries that are used.
The current replay status is shown on the attractive and clear mirrored LCD panel.

The lower casing carries other switches etc around its centre, and these are the open button that releases the catch that allows the spring loaded lid to open. A standard 3.5 mm mini earphone jack is fitted and its output is controlled by a rotary thumbwheel control.
To the rear is a 4.4 volt DC input jack.

The player can be operated by using 2 AA Batteries (not supplied) or alternatively a 4.5 volt DC power supply (not supplied) can be connected to the DC input jack.

The players audio quality is excellent and the frequency response is very wide. Music is great to listen to, and at no time is it ever presented in a harsh way. The stereo seeparation is very good and all instruments can be easily placed in the recording.
CDR Discs can be replayed without any fuss and the tracking and track access and search times are very rapid.

The player is in excellent condition showing very little evidence of previous use. The attractive dark metallic purple finish applied to the lid is free of blemishes, and all switches and controls operate positively and very smoothly. The player works perfectly. It is free of all defects or faults.
