McCall's sewing pattern M8401, for Misses' retro 1950s dresses. This pattern is a reproduction of an original 1950s design, with added size combinations and cutting layouts.
Difficulty Rating: Easy.
Midriff dress with four-gore gathered skirt. Midriff seamed to bodice back. Front midriff is faced and included in side seams and waistline seam only. Corded piping in waistline seam. Small collar, back neck opening and left side zipper placket. Short set-in sleeves. Optional rick rack trim.
Suggested fabrics: Calico, Challis, Gingham, Polished Cotton, Poplin, Printed Silk or Cotton, Synthetic Mixtures. Interfacing: Lightweight Fusible.
This pattern is available in a choice of two size
combinations; K5(8,10,12,14,16) or Y5(18,20,22,24,26).
