Plot

Dark Reign: The Hood #2 – “Haunted”

In this issue, Parker Robbins, known as The Hood, faces escalating challenges as he attempts to solidify his dominance in New York's criminal underworld.

The story opens with The Hood being ambushed by his old adversary, White Fang, who utilizes advanced technology to counter his abilities. Overwhelmed, Parker calls upon the demonic entity Dormammu, who empowers him to repel the attack. However, this reliance on Dormammu's power raises concerns about the growing influence the demon holds over him.

Back at his hideout, tensions rise among The Hood's gang, particularly regarding Madame Masque. Parker discusses his encounter with White Fang and his unease about Dormammu's control with his cousin, John King, who suggests seeking counsel from someone knowledgeable about demonic forces.

A teleconference with the Cabal—including Norman Osborn, Doctor Doom, Loki, Namor, and Emma Frost—further unsettles Parker, especially when his position is questioned. Upon concluding the meeting, he discovers his hideout engulfed in flames, prompting the gang to relocate. John provides Parker with contact information for someone versed in the occult.

The issue concludes with Parker visiting his ailing mother in a retirement home, highlighting his personal struggles. Subsequently, he arrives at an occult shop run by Satana, seeking guidance to navigate the perilous path he's on
