AMERICANA – butter dish – LEFTON
If you like big and beautiful roses you will love this AMERICANA BUTTER DISH made by LEFTON CHINA. This beautiful dish measures approximately 7 ¾” long, 3 ½” across and 2 ¾” high. It is white with a large red rose and rosebud with leaves on the cover. The bottom is white with a rose leaf on each end. In the center of the cover is an applied rose leaf.
The number 958 is on the bottom.
This beautiful butter dish appears to be in nice condition as I can find no cracks but there is some crazing and 7 pin head size glaze flakes on one edge of the tray and 1 glaze flake on one edge of the leaf finial near the big rose (these flakes can be seen in the last two pictures). There are a few knife marks in the bottom of the tray where the stick of butter would lay.
