Seller's Description

Original British 20 inch x 30 inch Double Crown Poster for the 1972 Marco Bellocchio Drama IN THE NAME OF THE FATHER (NEL NOME DEL PADRE) starring Yves Beneyton, Renato Scarpa, Piero Vida, Aldo Sassi and Laura Betti.

Black comedy about a self-possessed young rebel who creates chaos when he arrives at a third-rate Catholic boarding school for dumb, difficult and rebellious boys.

Poster art by Oscar Zárate (born 1942). Zárate is an Argentine comic book artist and illustrator. Zarate studied architecture and had a successful career in advertising in Argentina. He moved to Europe in 1971 and began to work in earnest as an illustrator. He has produced several posters for the independent film company The Other Cinema.

The poster is in very good unfolded (rolled) condition with corner pinholes.
