Original 9 5/8 inch x 7 1/2 inch Portrait of TREVOR HOWARD & ANOUK AIMEE in the 1949 Ronald Neame Adventure GOLDEN SALAMANDER, based on the novel by Victor Canning.
Portrait by Cornel Lucas.
Born in 1923 Lucas was a world-renowned Rank Studios photographer known for his legendary black-and-white portraits of stars including Joan Collins, Brigitte Bardot, Lauren Bacall, Marlene Dietrich, Katharine Hepburn and Diana Dors, among many others.
Trevor Howard, an archeologist, visits Tunisia to retrieve a shipment of valuable ancient artifacts. He encounters a gun smuggling ring and becomes involved with a pretty girl whose brother is one of the smugglers.
The portrait is in very good condition with minor surface marks.
