Focus lever for DNT / Arken Optics ZULUS Rifle Sight models HD3 and HD5

If you have either the HD3 or HD5 model of the brilliant Zulus range-finder 'scopes you will no doubt be amazed by what it can do for the money. BUT adjusting the main focus barrel is a pain because it is so well-damped with optical grease that you need to apply a lot of effort to turn it with two fingers - not the best situation when you are in a shooting position and particularly if engaged in a free-standing shot!

This focus lever (or focus puller) is the perfect answer to the only problem which will be suffered by users of these Zulus sights.  It fits snugly into the grooves on the focus barrel - no slop! - and can be positioned so that focusing on nearby items places the lever at the top (12 o'clock), and for distance the lever needs to be moved clockwise (from the viewer's point of view) only about 60 degrees from that (2 o'clock): focusing is now easy and quick! There are 6 protruding ribs on the Zulus focus barrel and there is no guarantee that every sight made will have them positioned in the same place in final assembly at the factory, so this lever is designed to fit in 30 degree steps, rather than 60 degrees, ensuring that the lever tab can be placed conveniently as described. The tab is ribbed so as not to slip when wet and the clamping screw and embedded nut are both stainless steel, so no rust problems! A No.1 size Phillips screwdriver will be required to tighten the screw.

This accessory is manufactured by 3-D printing with high-quality, dense and hard-wearing, matt-black plastic. The finish and fit is suerb and the pictures above are of the Real Thing - not CAD drawings!  There is no need to remove the Zulus lens cap when fitting as the lever body ring will flex to allow installation with it in place (See pic 3).

It is possible that this focus lever will fit other Zulus and Arken Optics sights - this one fits barrels which measure 36.75mm across the tips of the barrel ribs - no guarantees but if you want to try it, I offer a full refund (less postage cost) for return of items in perfect condition.
