This CD is a combined volume of both disks 2 and 9 from my collection together on a single CD.  There are no multiple units on this disk and no steam, just pure diesel locomotive nostalgia spanning 30 years from locations all across the UK (oh yes, and a few preserved electrics too!).  This combined volume is offered at a reduced price of 33% OFF against buying both disks separately.

150 high resolution colour photos of locomotives in preservation from 1987-2007 mostly covering the northern half of the UK (disk 2 the “dark green” one):

• Classes include:  02, 03, 04, 08, 10, 14, 17, 20, 24, 25, 26, 27, 31, 33, 35, 37, 40, 41, 42, 45, 46, 47, 50, 52, 55, 56 and 73.

• 13 different preserved railway locations (10 of which are not on the other disk):  Avon Valley, Battlefield Line, Bluebell, Dean Forest, Gloucestershire and Warwickshire, Great Central, Llangollen, Mid-Hants, Nene Valley, Pontypool and Blaenavon, Severn Valley, South Devon, plus West Somerset.

• Also includes the Deltic 50 event at Shildon in 2011, HST 40 event at St. Philips Marsh Depot in 2016, plus six photos of classes 52 and 55 on mainline railtours.

So let’s see now, that makes 21 different heritage lines from Devon all the way to Scotland plus many other locations too, and all captured over a 30 year period of great change.  This disk is absolutely loaded – a diesel basher’s bonanza!!!

• All photos are my own work using either a Nikon N2000 35mm SLR, an Olympus E-500 digital SLR or a Nikon D3300 digital SLR.

• Photos from disk 2 are all scanned directly from 35mm negatives at a super-high resolution of 2400dpi to give apx. 8.5 Megapixels in standard JPEG format.

• Photos from disk 9 are all digital JPEG format at either 8 or 13 Megapixels depending on which camera was used.  8Mp might not seem much by today’s standards, but that’s the technology we had back in 2008 before I upgraded to a newer camera a few years later.

• Every photo comes with a caption stored in the “file properties” detailing the locomotive, location and exact date, the captions do not appear on the photos themselves as this would spoil them.  All captions are also stored in a single file of .DOCX, .RTF and .PDF formats so you can view/print them out for the whole disk.

• I use quality Memorex brand disks, NOT cheap “shop’s-own” disks.

• This CD comes with a colour sleeve, colour artwork label and a slim-line plastic case.

• I have been selling these disks since 2007 with hundreds of happy customers!

• I have been an amateur photographer using SLR cameras for over 30 years, I do not take pictures with mobile phones, tablets, instamatic or point-and-shoot etc.

• I retain copyright over all images.  These photos are NOT for resale or distribution in any format, but you may print them out for yourself if you wish.
