Description: This is a Large approx 11" inch x 8" inch photo of a busy weekday scene at the Marine Parade & the Madeira Drive roundabout at Old Steine in Brighton in 1977. Clearly visible is the old Hungry Years pub and the Fortes Restaurant, which are now both a pub and a Harry Ramsden's takaway.
Also clearly visible in the traffic is a Bedford HA Saloon with registration plate KAR447C, as well as an Austin Maxi, a Mk II Ford Escort and a Morris Marina. Taking pride of place in the photo is a Eastern National 1953 ECW bodied Bristol open topped bus, registration plate WNO475, fleet number SD2379, and destination board 'Southend - Bus Station'.
