Description: This is a Large 11" inch x 8" inch photo of a busy weekday scene at the bus stop in Avenue Road, Bournemouth in 1980, where a pair of 'Yellow Bus' liveried Bournemouth Corporation Centeride service buses are parked . In the foreground is a Bedford VAS3, fleet number M3, registration plate ERU403L and sporting a vibrant pair of 'Ken Supports the Yellows' decals on it's distinctive Strachen bodywork.
Bringing up the rear is a Rootes Dodge Battery bus, fleet number M9, registration plate FEL209V, and which was eventually withdrawn from service in 1987. This road was pedestrianized in the 1980's and the shops so extensively redeveloped that today it is difficult to recognize as the same road.
