Original British 15 inch x 11 inch 10 page illustrated Pressbook for the 1966 John Guillermin First World War German Air Force Drama THE BLUE MAX, based on the novel by Jack Hunter and starring George Peppard, James Mason, Ursula Andress, Jeremy Kemp, Karl Michael Vogler, Anton Diffring, Harry Towb, Peter Woodthorpe and Derren Nesbitt.
A young pilot in the German air force of 1918, disliked as lower-class and unchivalrous, tries ambitiously to earn the medal offered for 20 kills.
Cover art by Frank McCarthy (1924 - 2002). McCarthy was an American artist and realist painter known for advertisements, magazine artwork, paperback covers, film posters, and paintings of the American West.
The pressbook is in very good condition with a vertical centre fold and a small stain in the top left corner.
