Stunning Victorian sterling silver bonbons dish by renowned Goldsmith's & Silversmith's of Regent Street London.
Fully hallmarked makers mark WG over JL for William Gibson & John Lawrence Langman or Goldsmith's & Silversmith's of Regent Street, London slightly rubbed but legible, followed by the lion the passant for sterling silver 92.5% fineness then leopard head for London and date letter 'a' circa 1896 then lastly has the Goldsmith's & Silversmith's stamp.
Measures approximately 13.5cm wide and 3.2cm in height and weighs a fabulous 108 grams.
An absolutely beautiful cast Victorian bonbons dish made of sterling silver by renowned Goldsmith's & Silversmith's. The bowl has a clear cartouche in the centre of floral rose with scroll design the outer edge has the floral pattern and the legs have a floral face design all of heavy cast solid sterling silver. This fabulous antique dish would make a great centrepiece or as a traditional bonbons dish, really it could be used for what ever you happen to desire. Condition is good to fair having a few pinholes (see photos) and some warping to the wall of bowl none that would detract from the beauty of the item or it's use as a bonbons dish. Would make a fantastic gift or why not spoil yourself with this stunning and very rare example of cast Victorian solid silver by one of the most renowned English silver makers Goldsmith's & Silversmith's of Regent St London.
