Adjustable Precision Angle XPS Foam Cutter for Proxxon Hot Wire Machine

The perfect accessory for cutting accurate angles in XPS foam. This jig is designed for the Proxxon hot wire cutter machine.

This precision laser cut jig is built from Medite Premium grade 6mm and 4mm MDF. We use MDF because of its smooth surface and overall stability on different environmental conditions

The angle is adjustable from 0 deg to 90 deg in 1 deg steps giving an infinitely greater degree of accuracy that using the adjustable wire slide.

The angle is selected by unlocking the butterfly nuts, then moving the bed to the required angle before re-tightening the nuts.

The angles are etched into each side so that adjustment can be carried out from either end of the jig. The angled bed is mounted on pins and bearings for smooth and accurate rotation.

The jig is available in 3 options, as a raw kit, prefinished, or as a fully finished product.

The raw version is straight from the laser cutter with no finishing. It will show the coloured residue from the cutting process. This is no detriment to the finished product, but gives the buyers the option to sand the parts themselves, or leave as is.

The pre-finished option comes with the parts either sanded, to remove the residue, or with masking tape on the front face to keep a clean finish.

In the fully assemble version all parts are sanded, sealed and the 'working' surfaces and angle sides are lacquered for a smooth protective finish.

The cabinet will require wood glue and/or superglue to assemble (not supplied)

The jigs are made to order and will therefore require 3 or 4 days to complete
