This is the second Osprey Publishing  edition of MG by McComb, brings the fascinating story ang up to date. Since the sad clsing of the Abington factory and the end of production of the 'real' M.G.s there has, in fact, been much to be glad about - the famous sports car marque lives on with four cars currently (1984, that is) being produced with the octagon on their fronts - the Metro, the Metro Turbo, the Maestro and the Montego. The factory closure and the development of the four new models are handsomely coverd in this new edition. Once again we are proud to offer the 'best' book on thr M.G. It's still the most entertaining read of all.

'McComb tells of the marque with humble origin which seduced the world into its romance with the open two-seater. He tells it with an authentic intimacy, having worked for the company for ten years and spent many more researching the subject further. We read of the founder's life, the first M.G., the great racing and record breaking years pre-war, the business and management life, all the production cars and the famous "Abington atmosphere".

All is presented in a wealth of detail, with comment which is sometimes irreverent, often outspoken but always substantiated. Over 200 photographs supplement this account and appendices provide technical data, production figures and major M.G. successes in competition.
