Son of a railway clerk, Frank H. Mason (English, 1875-1965) created dozens of posters for British railway companies from the 1920s to the 1950s. This poster - with its magnificent view of the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben as seen across the boat-filled river Thames - promoted rail travel to Londo, England's capital and largest city. The poster is from the coollection at the National railway Museum, York, England.
