Semi-Precious Cream/Fawn Sliced Chalcedony Natural Agate Druzy Rock Gem Earrings

Featuring a design crafted in gold plated metal, circling slices of genuine agate. Each agate slice is encased inside a frame of gold filled metal. The design is very organic and owing to the organic nature of the agate, each slice of agate will be different and unique, with fissures, veining and colour shades that change from piece to piece.....even the measurement of the agate slices will vary a little, but one thing we can promise you is that each piece has been hand picked for quality.

Agate, which is also Chalcedony, is known by many forms. No gemstone is more creatively colored and striped by nature than agate, chalcedony quartz that forms in concentric layers in a wide variety of colors and textures. Each individual agate forms by filling a cavity in host rock. As a result, agate often is found as a round nodule, with concentric bands like the rings of a tree trunk. The bands sometimes look like eyes, sometimes fanciful scallops, or even a landscape with dendrite trees when cut into slices and can show crystallization in the form of druzy patterns.
