Seller's Description
This is a lot of four postcards showing various views of Devon. They are :
- Anstey's Cove, near Torquay, Devon. The card was posted in 1907.
- the Barbican, Plymouth, Devon. The men in the foreground may be repairing nets, and there is what might be a fish market on the far quay. The card was posted in 1906. The sender writes, “I have decided to return via Liverpool, leaving [unclear] in the Campania”.
- a view of the bridge at Bideford, Devon, UK. The card was published by Valentines and posted in 1919.
- a view of the esplanade and pier at Paignton, Devon, UK. There is what appears to be a row of bathing huts on the beach. The card was posted in 1906.
The cards are in fair condition, with minor wear to the corners and edges, and some marks on the back.
