    Nobody's suggesting banning anything.

I believe the OP means not to get RID of Run til Sold, but rather to get it off the listings from VIEW. To that end, I am in total agreement with the OP.

    As for the flashing r's.........AAAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaack!!!

I like the auction format - handy when I need to list an 'oddity' and hope to get a good bidding interest. Other than that I mainly use the buy it now format with most on timed days, but I do have some listed on the run til sold option too, and will be adding to it as I do the final move of items through this week. I do this deliberately, because I do not want to 'flood' the listings with the same type of item. In this case it would be glasses cases, where I have a choice of 50 plus designs and colours to choose from. Being aware of other sellers wanting space in the searches, I have put some to appear in the middle to give browsers & buyers a 'sample selection', and will be adding the remainder deliberately as run ril sold, so the show at the end of the searches. I don't use the run til sold 'because I don't want to sell', as I do, but I don't want to 'hog' the search pages.

I think its a valuable tool for sellers to show items that are available for purchase, but only want to give a token selection in the main searches.

Sorry, con't comment on the flashing r, as I'm not really sure of that it is. If its the flashing icon by the auction items, then as I'm of an accepting nature, thats how it is so I live with it. I don't worry about things I have no control over. Or do things work differently on e.Bid?

Im with you on the RTS Babs. Surely its better to show the stock you have as an alternative, and a selection on frequent show (ie moving to the top of the listings) as opposed to frequent listings and no other choice availability - even though it is available! (Hope that makes sense I think I confused myself there )

Regards the "r" - as Papa says, you kindve get used to it after a while, but the newbies may just see it as "not worth bidding on cos it has a reserve" type of thing? I have "fors" and "againsts" for the poor little picked on "r" so as a neutral, I decline to add my reasoning....

Please get rid of.. Run Until Sold.. it is and looks so un-professional when you see it in an offering.
It just does NOT belong there for public viewing.

....In fact it wasn't even that. It was just not showing that name to potential buyers. I can see some merit in that.
    Kedo... correct.

I should go to sleep.. as only a few so far in this thread understand what I said-mean....
A BUYER does not have to see the words..
Run Until Sold... it looks awful.

You're not going blind, you're just misreading it. The OP wants the *words* to be taken away, not the function banned.

Then again, maybe I'm seeing it wrong.

You're exactly right. Doesn't have to be 'seen'.
