I don't know much about epilepsy, but I'm sure I read somewhere that it is the timing / frequency of the flashing that triggers the problem. But regardless of that I think that the "r"s do not add anything to the site and to me seem to be totally pointless.
I personally do not use the run until sold option myself, but can see it's advantage for people with very large amounts of stock. Although I think that the wording should stay as it acts as a warning that the stock may have been abandoned.
Maybe they could be removed from view if the seller hasn't visited them for sometime.

That's the feebay philosophy, punish and threaten the honest sellers because the crooks might do something naughty.
If abandoned stock is a problem - and I think it probably is - then *that* problem should be solved, and the guilty should be the ones who pay, not honest sellers who have their listings branded as possibly unsellable or unattended.
I don't even use run till sold, but if the facility's there it should be properly implemented.
I think some of you are missing the point. The OP doesn't want to get rid of 'run until sold'. They were suggesting a name change.
....In fact it wasn't even that. It was just not showing that name to potential buyers. I can see some merit in that.

As long as the name change is not 'abandonned and desperate'.
I would say leave the run until sold ...but the flashing r ...yes ...this should go...it says no reserve or reserve met...no...this is not helping new members....but saying that , I would think the long time members do not really notice it.....Papa.
