First time that I too have seen or heard of that article.

On the one hand I wonder:

Do we believe everything we read in the papers? Do we believe in everything we hear on the TV news? Do we believe everything that the Politicians tell us? ...

But on the other hand:

It is true that there is no smoke without fire, and Feebay users past and present are surely noticing the signs now that were 'prophesied' in that clandestine article.

Time will tell of course, but I'm glad I am now with eBid (even though no one seems to want to buy my stuff!)

Whenever I am after a particular book, my first port of call, after Ebid is Amazon. For anything else I do a Google shopping search (again after trying Ebid first).

Ruthie, don't get upset. The "leaked letter" has been posted here before and lots of us have seen it. I don't know how long ago it first appeared, but bit by bit they certainly seem to be introducing the changes mentioned in that article.

That letter first appeared a while ago, but the strategy certainly seems to be get rid of the small seller. The small seller would be well advised to take his 'small' buying elsewhere as well and let the 'big sellers' feel a little pain.

First stop in the past for everything books has been Amazon marketplace. In fact almost all my shopping for books has been on Amazon and Abe. I only recently (and, as it turned out, very briefly) started buying on eB*y.

I still look there first (and then do a price comparison with other places) for everything that they sell. They're reliable, and normally very good value for money.
