Thread: Non-centred item images

  1. #1

    Default Non-centred item images

The way that the item images appear off-centre (on all auctions, as far as I can see) IMO makes all eBid auctions look untidy, and less than professional.

I don't know the reason for it being the way it is (maybe there's a very good one?) but if it is simply a minor formatting glitch in the main engine, I would imagine that it would be easy to fix.

I'm attaching an image that illustrates the problem I'm referring to.

Must say that until you mentioned it I hadn't noticed.

Seems a bit 'picky' to me...but then I'm not much of a perfectionist.

Oh, I agree that it's 'picky,' but some people (me at least, and I'm not that special so that means others too) will pick up on it and think that it looks untidy.

As I said, unless there's a good reason for these images to be off-centre (I cannot think of one myself) the fix should be very simple.

It's the same as fixing a typo. Typos in marketing materials give a bad impression to some buyers (who others might call 'picky'); why turn potential buyers away when the answer is a cheap, quick and easy typo fix?

"It's the main engine, Cap'n, she canna take it much longer!"

Does sound like a 2 minute fix, agreed. And I'm another picky person, e.g. I bid less on auctions that have spelling errors -- if the seller can't be bothered to learn how to spell, what chance they'll learn to pack reliably?

If it takes more than 2 minutes, I think the lads have better things to do. Have I mentioned postcode-based searches recently? Oh, not for 24 hours, eh!

    Default when I was working...

Our office junior was asked to make an Inventory of all the office equipment for insurance purposes...

She came back with a list headed...office infantry...
the boss just looked at her and quietly said..."bring on the cavalry"....

When we are able to replicate the error you mention we will find a fix straight away. At the moment the problem seems to be only very specific cases which is most annoying for us.

    Thanks
