Ues this works on whatever payment method you use. The buyer will get a invoice and its up to him how he pays. If you do not want Paypal, then make sure that you remove it from your "my details " page.

If you want to accept PPPay, then make sure that your account details are again in your "my details".

When you combine the invoice you are given a box for you to add your own comments, which the buyer will see when he gets the invoice.

Will that still work if i don't offer paypal as I was hoping to use PPPay to save on Paypal fees and pass the savings on to my cusomers with lower prices.

I dont offer pppay because of the charges added on by them to the buyer. I found this out myself when I first started buying on Ebid.

I find most buyers prefer to pay by Paypal as it doesnt incur any charges for them.

At the moment you only have Pppay &/or Paypal button links in the invoice, Gazza did say that a nochex link would be available when he first announced the benefits of platinum but that hasn't happened yet. (not that I've ever been paid that way)

I use the comment box, to give details for my nochex & moneybookers email addresses, I also list my other payment options in it.
I offer as many payment options as possible.
You can set it in my defaults so you don't need to do the notes every invoice.
For those of you who accept Bank Transfer, have you put the details of your Bank in the default comment box, or do you only send those when requested for them?

is it true that with pppay it costs to withdraw your money to your bank account?

Yes but i don't know how much cause i never have it long enough to reach the bank.

I think its 1% but with a minimum fee of 75p to withdraw from PPPay to your bank.

Its only 25p for under £50 on Paypal, over £50 its free. I empty my Paypal account regularly 'just in case'
I've heard horror stories of recharges and Paypal freezing accounts etc, so keep mine at zero as much as possible.

I have only used PPPay once. I made a puchase for £1.99 and had to pay .49p to send the payment. The item never arrived and the seller refunded me my £1.99, PPPay took around .15p from me on the refund!!

So just by using it to may for and £1.99, I paid an extra .60p just not to receive anything!!!

I now do not use them at all!!

For this reason I wont offer pppay as a payment option to my customers nor will I buy from a seller who only accepts pppay.

Oh and dont forget if your buyer hasnt any money in there PPPay account its also going to cost them 49p or something like that extra to send the payment, so in the long run could work out costing them more than if you added the paypal cost in .

Thats My biggest grump about Ppay, especially on small priced items, I use both Paypal and PPpay and to be honest theres not much in the cost to you, but it can be a real pain to your customers and put them off. Ive had a few moans and grumbles already about being charged that extra 50p for a transaction.

That's why I prefer to sell and buy using Paypal. I know the seller has to pay a cost for the privilege of using Paypal but it is ideal for the buyer, costing them nothing, and I would rather have sales than lose custom. If the buyer is going to be stung for charges then they are not going to get the bargain they thought they had bought.
