You can save the bits you use all the time in your My Defaults section - then when you start a new listing, click the button to populate the description field with your defaults and go from there.

Or you can do as I do and save the whole lot into a notepad document, make the relevant changes for each new item and cut and paste the result into the description field.

Turbo lister has a description builder - one of the options in it is HTML view - put your cursor in the middle of that description, right click, select all, copy - then paste into your ebid listing.

It isn't really complicated - just different from what you are used to. Once you are used to ebid, you'll think it is very simple ;-)

Ignore the top bit that asks for item specifics, go to the second section where you can select a button, choose the one you want, then generate the html code, cut and paste it into your ebid template.

You can check that your html looks the way you want it to, and do any tweaks, using this handy online html editor:

just the group of us with a common cause helping each other out by buying things we may not necessarily need.

The majority of us ex-eBay sellers have made the switch from being established shop owners with relatively high and good feedback, to complete newbies. (Thanks eBid regulars for being so welcoming, btw!)

I really think we should all stick together - the one good thing about eBay's latest changes was the feeling it created of "us".

I'm quite happy to purchase some inexpensive things from fellow ex-eBayers, to kick off both your and mine feedback ratings. I'm in the process of listing things in my shop here, most are books costing a couple of £s. So if anyone likes the idea and wants to return the favour, that would be great.

If you like the idea and want to request someone starts you off with a cheap sale and a nice feedback comment, just comment here.

eBid - I'm not in any way suggesting shill bidding or anything similar, just the group of us with a common cause helping each other out by buying things we may not necessarily need.

Hi Katie, I am sorry but I have to agree with Elaine on this. It was a rather foolish call of judgement on your part I'm afraid. We do all understand where you are coming from and perhaps in hindsight you may have been slightly tackless in how you put it. We have all been there at some point.
I too am a refugee from the darkside. I have been here since November but I would never in a million years have put a post up to ask if there were any more and would they mind buying from me to get me started and vice versa. I am afraid you are just going to have to take pot luck like the rest of us on here. You will either sell or you won't. Putting a post up to ask people to buy from you in the "plug your auctions" is one thing, but to entice people to buy from you specifically to get your feedback up and vice versa could in most peoples eyes be considered as blatantly inflating your feedback just so that you can look good to buyers from the outside. The Ebid rules are very spacific.
I think before you go any further, you should read all of Ebid rules before putting up a post like this. While most people do understand the predicament that most of you are in. There is only so much tolerance that they will put up with. I am quite sure that you had absolutely no intention of offending anyone. Just show a little more commonsense in futureand read your post over carefully before submitting.

tracey and pat - I'm not sure if it was already answered but if you make up your listing as normal in turbolister but worded for ebid, then click on the tab at the top of that box (where it says 'design view' and 'html view'), the one which says html view, then select all the text in that box, key 'control' C to copy and bob's your uncle you have it ready to paste into your ebid auction.
