All the listings of older items that don't have ISBNs or barcodes I have already inserted as EXEMPT. Mind you, there are many items that have neither such as Elench's beautiful glassware but my understanding is that they had been showing up in Google until recently I think. It had been previously suggested that perhaps the fact they are running as auctions rather than Run Until Sold could impact but I ran a couple of experiments based on that for a couple of unique-ish items (such as the Blue Velvet VHS Collector's edition, which also has a barcode) but still nothing was showing on GS.

But even if I search for Pursuit of Happiness using eBid's own search I don't find your book.

    @tonnesofstuff.

You're right that none of my glass has been listed with a barcode but if I remember rightly it's one of the required conditions for up-loading that if there is no barcode, "exempt" is used. So I've always made absolutely sure that I do put 'exempt' on the listing form.

I've also mentioned that for years I've been listing one or two items each week, more or less every Sunday, giving me a very long spread of dates of first listing of items, in case GS uses "Date of Listing" as another of its criteria for showing ads.

Also I've regularly said that I've never found any clue about which items GS picks to make visible, it seems entirely random to me (although it probably isn't). Some of my items I've never seen on GS (although I only really check the first 3-4 pages so there might be others on lower results pages.)

Another thing I've noticed that seemed to be very consistent on the main GS pages (not Sponsored strips) is that I very rarely found any of my items shown that were less than a few months old. But GS regularly made ads. visible that had been listed continuously on ebid as RUS listings for several years. Clearly although GS's choices might have been random, it prefers older listings not those that had only been put on ebid a few weeks or even months ago.

I think it's probably because the title is wrong (assuming you mean this one - "Pursuit Through Time")

Indeed. Perhaps those are crucial factors you've identified: consistency in listing/building inventory and the age of listings. I'll keep at it.

Does anyone who hasn’t made a sale wonder if their settings are right. Wishful thinking but I have wondered, what if my PayPal isn’t set up correctly to accept eBid..? I have checked the box in settings that it recommends but until someone buys something I won’t be 100% sure.

Had a Quick look at your listings - Nice stamps..

1/ For me USED stamps sell better than MNH

2/ If I needed a stamp I prefer good clean fine used @ $1.00 rather than MNH for $6.00

3/ Go here to compare stamp prices on this site:

4/ Pictures may need to be bigger

    Hope this helps

Thanks for taking the time to look.

I am having a re-think about the way I list. I did a lot of £2.99 with (UK) freepost type listings to make sure I don’t end up making a loss after postage if only 1 sells. Maybe buyers here don’t like that as there is no postage saving for them with multi buys.

It seems that the sellers who get a lot of sales are brave and will have very low start bids with a charged postage cost - and then incentivise more buys buy only adding a few pence (if anything) postage cost to subsequent buys.

I was wary of doing that as I’m a new seller but maybe I’ll try. I have got so many used stamps to list with that method.

I will also have a look at my photos, to be honest I wasn’t happy with some of them. It seems the resolution of them doesn’t upload here quite as sharp as I’m seeing them on my own device.

    Thanks
