Oh! Thank you very much! Yes, this is kind of heavy, and since postage overseas is so darn expensive, I thought that it would just be too ridiculously expensive. I've sent a few books to Europe and it was over $50!

Ok. As it turns out I had signed up for 3 months, so I must still have more time. I'll try to correct the listing.

    Thank you!

Your listing is hard to read, because it's all in one block, and the important features are buried in there.

Can I suggest that you list the features (tuning wrench included, 2 1/2 octaves, etc), or use bullet points.
Those things may be the very thing a potential buyer is looking for.

The photographs are a little cropped, so don't do justice to the item.

You ask that if anyone outside the US wants to buy, they should contact you for a delivery price. They won't.
The harder you make it for someone to buy easily, the less likely they are to buy.

For heavier or larger items, it's difficult to give a delivery cost via courier, because you don't know whewre the buyer will be.
I usually work out how big and heavy it will be when packed, then give rates to various destinations which I get from the courier's website.
Making sure that it is understood that it is an estimate which can be confirmed when we know the exacy destinatiuon.

So, a large carpenter's plane weighing about 2 kgs, would be:
    Germany £20
    US & Canada £28
    Thailand £30
    Australia £32.

That gives an idea of the cost to the potential buyer, and they can ask for a specific price if they contact you.

With items as good as yours, I'm sure they will sell if presented well.

Don't forget that you signed up for a recurring 3 monthly subscription. If you don't cancel,it will be taken from your card/account again.

KristenAnn: Absolutely nothing wrong with listing on more than one site - just as long as you are organised.

I think that Deanosaur was referring to the discrepancy in postage? Why dearer here than elsewhere?

Yes, it was a matter of not remembering the postage exactly. I'll go correct that. Thanks!

Eek! Ok. Well, I don't remember exactly when it was that I signed up. And I'd prefer to be notified that I'm reaching the end of the term, rather than being automatically charged, so I can choose to continue or not. I'll have to see if I can change it to be NOT recurring automatically. (Is this possible?)

My point was the pricing. On eBid your item is more expensive than on the other two sites you have the item listed:

    So the teddy bear......

    On one place $79.00 + $12.00 shipping = $91.00
    On the bay $79.00 + $13.81 shipping = $92.81

    And here on eBid: $79.00 + $19.95 = $98.95

    Unfortunately it's not possible.

Agree that there is nothing wrong with having the item on more than one site ( though the bay is anti doing that)
as long as a seller is organised.

Besides the point Deano made about the postage being set higher for ebid, a seller could also set the price at a lower price than the other site due to the lower fees that are charged on ebid when a sale is made.
Passing the saving onto the buyers could possibly tempt the buyers to buy from you here. thus help to get you established here.
