As a newbie I would fail to comprehend an auction site with no bidding wars.
Then, having read that only items with BIN's/Fixed Prices get uploaded to Google Shopping ~ then I would understand why.

What I don't understand myself now is: Why does such selective uploading take place? Because eBid chooses to? But why if it's an auction site?
eg. I have listed an item in YDC - complete with Brand & Bar Code. eBid invited me to add a BIN price during listing creation & said if I did it would be uploaded to Google Shopping.
But if I include a BIN price it automatically disqualifies it from the competition element of YDC!!!!
Talk about Catch22. Damned if I do, damned if I don't! So there is my item ~ listed without a BIN price ~ and no Google Shopping upload exposure. WHY????

Surely, if Brands & Bar Codes etc are provided in a listing it should automatically get uploaded to Google Shopping just like they do on other Sites irrespective of whether or not it is an auction listing only, or a BIN or combination of both???

How on earth can any rational thinking person expect bidding wars when the bidding element is forcibly removed???

As far as I understand it

Google Shopping is for items that are for sale at a set price.

    Not for auction items.

Its Google that makes the rules on what is and what is not acceptable.

There are all formats on Preloved which is a fee-free site.... everything goes up to Google irrespective of listing type.

So why this on eBid? Is it a limited package fee paid which carries restrictions I am wondering...

Here is the information straight from the horses mouth.

"Items with variable prices, such as in auctions, should not be submitted. All products must be sold at fixed prices."

Thank you soooo much for that.
It makes the uploads by other sites, without jumping through hoops, inexplicable.

So then perhaps eBid should be redefined &
then bidding wars will no longer be expected by newbies as it is hardly
    a true auction venue???

What I don't understand about the 'ordinary' google search, not google shopping, is how an item I list on both Prel*ved and eBid gets onto the first or second page of google with Prel*ved but not with eBid
