Default eBid is definitely changing (B)

I started this thread so as to not veer off topic in the other thread similarly named, and I admit I don't read every single post on the entire forum.

My question is: is "Nominate" a new feature? I found it on a closed listing (referred to in a third thread under After the Auction/item that is not working). I clicked on "Nominate" and nothing seemed to happen. I then clicked on the down arrow under the word "Nominate" and was transported instantly to a Bonanza listing for an identical item.

There was also an ad for another site higher up in the listing from which I took this screen shot.

If there are external links then report the item.

I checked several closed listings and couldn't find that button anywhere.

I tracked down the listing you're referring to - when I clicked on it all it gave me was a link to the same item offered for sale by the same sller on another website.

I think that's something of his/her making and nothing to do with Ebid.

I'd report it for having a link to an external website.

While I'm aware that including a link to one's own or another selling site is a violation of eBids UA, I fail to see a great deal of difference between a seller including a link to somewhere that they are selling their own goods and eBid placing ads for other sites within a sellers listing. Of course, eBid is getting paid for the ads sending potential buyers to other sites and away from the sellers listing and in the case of the other, eBid would not. The reverse would appear to be true with regard to the seller who is having potential buyers directed away from their product listing to another site. They are evidently not going to be paid for any sale made on the advertiser's site.

So I sent them the link that you posted and one to their non existent account here...lol
